Part-time Zoning Enforcement Officer to enforce zoning regulations, conduct field inspections, review land use applications for zoning compliance. Flexible schedule, 10 hrs weekly + monthly Zoning Board of Appeals meeting, non-union, no benefits, $22.60 per hr. Qualifications: Associates Degree from accredited college with emphasis on public administration, land use planning or closely related coursework; min. 2 yrs experience. CAZEO certification will be required. Must have ability to enforce with firmness & tact; must have valid CT Driver’s License. Subject to pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Ansonia's Building Department. Executes and administers the City's anti-blight and zoning enforcement programs. Coordinates the processing of all building, zoning and land-use related applications. Manages and/or coordinates activity of all employees and officials working within the Building Department. Acts as the official representative of the Building Department to the Mayor and Ansonia’s various boards and commissions. Works with City's land-use boards and commissions. Strives to foster a courteous and customer friendly environment in the Building Department.
