Town of Glastonbury--Compliance Officer - Part Time
HOURS: 24 per week
SALARY: $26.71 per hour ($27.24 per hour effective 7/1/2018)

Under the broad supervision of the Director of Planning and Land Use Services, the Compliance Officer provides technical support to the planning staff in the Department of Community Development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing field inspections, enforcing land use regulations and ordinances, and assisting in the review of land use applications. Work involves completing reviews of approved building sites prior to the issuance of a building permit, and inspecting for compliance with erosion and sedimentation control measures and other permit conditions. Incumbent makes routine enforcement decisions and coordinates the filing reviews for various land use projects.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years’ experience in municipal planning, zoning, or construction inspection work. An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides a demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position will also be considered. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Town of North Canaan--ZEO (part time)

Town of Simsbury--Land Use and Building Clerk (Part-Time) Planning and Development

Enters and retrieves information through a computer. Provides information to the public requiring a knowledge of department programs and procedures.
