Why join cazeo? |
The Connecticut Association of Zoning Enforcement Officials (CAZEO) is a voluntary, professional membership association to promote comprehensive zoning enforcement policies in the State of Connecticut. Founded in 1979, with only 20 members, the membership has grown over 250 in 2010. The original members recognized that Zoning Enforcement Officials require special study, knowledge, and skills to bring about a high level of professional competence. The goals of CAZEO have been achieved in several important ways.
CAZEO has a Legislative Committee who actively participates in any upcoming legislation. The Committee brings proposed bills to the members for comment and presents testimony when necessary.
You can increase positive perception among members of your community as a Certified Land Use Technician (CZET) or Certified Zoning Enforcement Officer (CZEO). These certifications show the public that you take your profession seriously and that you are committed to improving your skills and education in your field. |
CAZEO provides certification programs geared towards Administrative Staff and Zoning Enforcement Officials. Once certified CAZEO provided continuing education opportunities throughout the year to ensure our members are up to date in the most current land use issues and law.
Being a part of the CAZEO community means being able to reach out to colleagues when you have a question. These important professional contacts help guide your decisions and provide an opportunity for others to lend another side to an opinion. |
